Owning to the love in which she was held during her residence in Clarion, where she was active in the missionary society, Sunday School and church work, as well as the prominence of her parents - the Sample family being one of the oldest and most highly respected inthis section - great sadness is felt that this beautiful young life has gone from us. Her exceptionally sweet personality, reflected in her face, made her a place in hearts that few so young have, and as she lay amid many flowers in her white satin robes, her grief stricken parents and familyhad aching sympathy of all. She was one of three daughters and two sons ofMr. and Mrs. Marion Sample, and was born June 5, 1890, and grew to young womanhood at her home in Porter township, early uniting with theLetherwood Presbyterian Church, and taking part in all its activities. She was married to Anthony C. Cyphert, of Clarion, and began her married life at that place, later removing to Franklin where her husband holds animportant position with the Penna. Railroad. Her health was never rugged, but of late years had seemed to improve, but an insidious abscess was drainingher strength. She is survived by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, her husband and a little 2-year old son. Services were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m., at the Sample home, later at the Leatherwood PresbyterianChurch amid many friends, the Rev. Cornelius, of New Bethlehem, officiating, and interment was made in the Presbyterian cemetery adjoining where the Sample family for nearly one hundred years, have been laid to away 'until the day break and the shadows flee away.' Friends from a distance were Mrs. Cyphert and son and Mrs. Williams, of clarion, and Mrs. Annie Sample, Mrs. Gale Hamm and Miss Mary Ann McNutt, of New Bethlehem. - June 26, 1919 New Bethlehem Society Column Item: The very sad news of the death of Mrs. June Sample Cyphert, of Franklin, who died Saturday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Sample, of Leatherwood, while visiting them, reached here Saturday. For years she had suffered from tubercular abscess, but had seemed to improve in health. She was greatly loved by all. She was born June 5, 1890. She was married to Anthony C. Cyphert, who holds a position of trust with the P.R.R. at Franklin and who survives with one son. The funeral was held Sunday by Rev. Cornelius and interment was made in the Leatherwood cemetery.
